In this interactive workshop, you will learn about your own privileges and how to use them to step up for others.

An ally is a member of a social group that enjoys some societal advantages. They work to understand their own privilege takes conscious actions to step up for others, when it is safe for them to do so.

The Open Life Science team members have been trained under Frameshift Consulting and have previously conducted ally workshops at European Molecular Biology Laboratory, The Whitaker Lab at the Alan Turing Institute, CarpentryCon @ Home and as part of the Open Life Science OLS-1 cohort training.

Attendance is free for Open Life Science mentees, mentors, and experts – please contact the organisers if you have not yet received your discount code.

This training is open to the public for a fee which will go towards supporting the ongoing work of Open Life Science non-profit organisation. We encourage members who would like to and organisations who have funds to sponsor their members to purchase tickets.

We are able to offer low-cost tickets and fee waivers for members interested in participating at this event who would otherwise not be able to attend. Please contact team@openlifesci.org to request a discount code to purchase tickets at a low cost or for a fee waiver.
